OutBack Power Systems Announces New Higher Power VFX series Inverter/Charger Models

Arlington, Washington (August 14, 2003) OutBack Power Systems has started shipments of the new higher power VFX series sinewave inverter/chargers.

The new VFX series features a "bug-proof" ventilated chassis with screened openings and a washable intake air filter. Currently, three models are available - the VFX2812 - 2800 watts 12 vdc, the VFX3524 - 3500 watts 24 vdc and a VFX3648 - 3600 watts 48 vdc. Like the original OutBack FX series, the new VFX series can be used as a modular building block to power larger loads - up to 10 inverter/chargers can be connected in series, parallel, series-parallel or even three phase.

Retail list pricing for all three of these new inverters is $2345 USD each. Export versions will also be available later this year.
