OutBack Power Systems Expands Current Grid-Interactive Product Line to Include Four New Models

ARLINGTON, WA – July 9, 2009 – OutBack Power Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of reliable and durable power electronics products for renewable energy applications worldwide, introduced today the LA Series Grid-Interactive Inverter/Chargers.

The OutBack LA Series Inverter/Charger is a true sinewave grid-interactive power solution incorporating a DC to AC sinewave inverter, battery charger and AC transfer switch in a die-cast aluminum chassis. Developed in response to customer demand in countries or areas that frequently experience high or low power conditions such as surges, spikes or brownouts, or have trouble syncing to the utility grid, the LA Series is designed to optimize sell-back and to reduce overall system down time.

An addition to the current GTFX/GVFX product line, the LA Series incorporates all of the key features that have made OutBack grid-interactive inverter/chargers a success, while incorporating the necessary changes to optimize performance in areas with frequent grid fluctuation. Increased voltage windows and decreased reconnect timers ensure the exporting of power during common changes in utility grid conditions.
