GS8048A firmware in GS8048

Post by azgene » Wed Sep 16, 2020 5:10 pm

The system has a GS8048; firmware 1.004.001; apparently 1.004.002 was the last firmware issued for the GS8048 product. Can any of the firmware versions for the GS8048A be used in a GS8048? The display control is a Mate3 (NOT -3S) which has been upgraded to version 003.019.001 . An app note relating to LBCO (Low Battery Cut Off) says that GS8048A firmware 001.006.063 (or greater) should NOT BE USED under any conditions with a Mate 3. So, the question boils down to: Is there any GS8048A firmware that can be used in a GS8048 + Mate 3 combination?
Yes, I am aware of the FNDC app note relating to the LBCO issue. But still curious about best firmware for the GS8048.

Never mind... Each of the "ReadMe" files in the release notes for the 8048A firmware versions says that the firmware is NOT compatible with the GS8048 inverter. It was a bit tedious to download, and unzip, each firmware version to see the "ReadMe" files but in the end I have answered the question "Can any of the firmware versions for the GS8048A be used in a GS8048?"
The answer is: NONE.
