I have met the same issue. It seems to happen if you change the color "too fast". If it happens in my MATE3 the color stays pink... it starts to work after a power reset.

My dealer have been reported of this issue to OB engineers.

you are left with the pink screen? ... jajajaja
I think if you change the option in the menu to 1, and turn it off, when turned on will be white / blue as it was originally ...

I personally believe that there is still time for this mate3 firmware corrected and tested at 100% ... this bug is not important compared to the failure to connect mate3 ... the MX60 MPPT goes crazy and it configures itself with suicide charging voltages...

just have to wait that response is the usual outback, which we all hope ... and I hope that if there is a problem with older equipment they correspond as we deserve those who bought their MPPT when he was a prototype and we are confident with outback ...

in this link I describe what happens to me and MX60 mate3:

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4jjbm ... E4ZTYwNjFk

I am awaiting a response from outback engineers for the solution of this problem ...

Color? You can get your display to show in COLOR?!?

And it appears I may get into the 21st century and wind up with a FM-60 or something. Not that my MX-60 gets reprogrammed by my Mate 3, just saying.

yeahhhh .... you can choose the color of the back light on the display of mate3, as in the car radio! .... hahahaha
but it seems that option, though it works, it seems a little shaky ...
I have to update it, and now outback have a (02.06.07) new version ... is nothing like equipment that have upgradeable firmware, you need to make all day updating, and allway new firmware version that comes with its bug included!!!....;-)
I am content with everything else that works ....;-)
