Mate 3s button cover

Postby stevetull on Wed Dec 06, 2017 6:44 am

Isn't there a magnetic cover that protects the lower area of the Mate 3s display? I received mine yesterday and I was surprised to see the cover was not included.
Thank you.

The Mate3S does not have a button cover like the Mate3 did.

Ok thanks, that might explain it. Is a cover available as an option?
By the way this is from the Mate 3s Programming Guide:
"Four navigation keys are located on the lower half of the MATE3s. They are protected by the front cover when it is in place."

That's what threw me off.

Ha! Good catch Steve. I think it was probably left over wording from the Mate3. I don't think a cover is an option. The Mate3 had magnets installed inside the case and I don't think the Mate3s has it. I could be wrong, I haven't played around with the Mate3s very much.

I just checked and there doesn't appear to be magnets, or even ferrous metals. It only appears there is. Another holdover from the older Mate 3.

As the Mate is in the living room I will just instill a healthy fear in the granddaughter that blowing up the battery bank would be unacceptable.

Thanks again.
