VFX3048E as backup system

Postby Terrence on Sat Feb 07, 2015 1:35 am

I am busy installing 2x VFX3048E Inverter/Chargers connected in parallel, ie 6kW 240VAC out. The system will run as a backup, ie critical loads will run via the inverter. "Passthrough"while utility/grid is available and off battery backup when utility/grid fails. I need clarity on the connection of the "Neutral" of the system. Can the inverter "Neutral Out" be connected to the utility/grid neutral?

Neutral in and out are common / not switched,(Exept " M" series iirc) So you could to save cabling just run one common N back to the main bus

My comments are based on my experience and research, They are not endorsed or checked by Outback.I am an independent British electrician living in Spain, So please take this into account when reading /acting on my post`s.
