Re: Mate 3 and Bulk settings, AGS run time issue?

Make sure you have completely disabled your FNDC,, EG SOC start, stop both to "0" and disable FNDC, ( even if you do not have one)

Re: Configuring generator to fully charge batteries

The "VRLA" bit is the important bit, It is an emergency blow off valve, Which in your case seems to have blown,,,,, There is NO permitted venting otherwise, No Warranty on venting, CO2 detector is useless as you are looking for hydrogen, lso, how does temperature sensing work in conjunction with the...

Re: Configuring generator to fully charge batteries

We're still trying to figure out the root issue, why these AGM batteries, which I've been assured by their vendor do not need any venting (supposedly they're specifically designed to be installed in poorly ventilated spaces), would be producing (presumably) so much hydrogen gas. If you have "off ga...

Re: Configuring generator to fully charge batteries

There are a couple of mistakes in the above, [*]In Settings > Inverter > Battery Charger: Absorb Voltage 28.8 VDC Time 1.0 | Float Voltage 27.2 VDC Time 1.0 Voltage is a bit low as has been pointed out, Absorb time of 1hr is way to short, more like 4hrs, float time of 1 hr is total waste of fuel, se...

Re: daily absorption time for backup batteries?

Although mine is not on float overnight, just during the day when the PV is generating.
It would need to be on float 24hrs,
I've switched to a 2 hours absorb each morning

Re: daily absorption time for backup batteries?

In situations where the battery bank is strictly for the occasional power outage, and therefore stays full most of the time, what's the proper amount of absorption each day? None, If it is a pure grid tie system with occasional emergency back up it should stay in float 24,7 untill it has been "used...

Re: GSCM - Network Capable Gen Start Control Module?

yes the GSCM requires constant voltage. Cutting the voltage to reset should work. That's essentially what I do now through the use of a 12v relay connected to a wifi controlled receptacle... Perhaps there's a more automated way to do it? I am thinking the DP relay is 1, the two wire trigger for AGS...

Re: GSCM - Network Capable Gen Start Control Module?

Do you know if the GSCM needs constant voltage ? My thinking is could you use a double pole relay running the normal AGS to interrupt its 12v feed when AGS is not active ?

Re: 48 vdc system with 100% usage of PV and Wind energy

I am not sure of your battery charging requirements, Following is for "normal" FLA, gel etc, My understanding is this. If I pull my 48 vdc from direct from the batteries the following will happen. The charge controller will charge to batteries to the set SOC and then stop charging the batteries even...

Re: AGS will not start generator all of a sudden.

I get the email notification saying that the AGS low voltage start has initiated... then minutes later, another notification that it failed and will shutdown. Do you get an AGS error with this ? If so I would start by looking at your aux relay to gen then on to gen as the problem is almost definite...

Re: Brand recommendations for battery chargers?

So, my question is: "Can charging the battery bank with two chargers at the same time cause damage to either the batteries or the inverter or the second charger?"
No problem as long as they are all set up reasonably close to each other (V) and your second source also has temp compensation,

Re: Batteries not BULK charging to set voltage 29.8V

First I explain the charging amps a little better The AC is set to 120V, and is nice and steady on that setting. Any feedback on these responses is appreciated! That will be 120v X 20a giving 2400va,minus about 15% for losses, 320va, leaves 2040va divide that by your charge voltage to get charge amp...

Re: 2 FM80s showing different battery voltage

Yes, they're calibrated
When did you calibrate them ? what stage of charging ? EG, if you calibrate when at full charging capacity, That will be right, If you calibrate near your low voltage, that will be right, But always seems a little discrepancy one situation to the other,
