@DJ - I did a web search on your Latin signature and got this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uyQQ1f ... p=drivesdk

Can you tell us what it's supposed to mean?

The GVFX's will not accept anything but a high quality AC source. If it's not an inverter generator it won't connect.

Re: FM 80 firmware

If it's any help, the FM80 I purchased earlier this year (2020) has firmware version 3.3.0.

Also, your best bet for protecting your new batteries is to use the FlexnetDC auxiliary contact. The FNDC voltage measurement is much more accurate than the FM80 for your purpose.

I don't know the answer but if no one else on this forum knows you might try posting your question on this site: https://www.allaboutcircuits.com

They have a lot of expertise on electronics.

Re: Need some help here.

I don't know how your system is wired but typically the FNDC battery voltage sensing wires are connected at the battery, for best accuracy. Again, if batteries were changed out that's where I'd be looking. Here's an excerpt from the FNDC manual: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sV5sbc8Tb0bmpfg1G9eSY...

Re: Need some help here.

Since the batteries were changed, make sure the FNDC's battery voltage sensing wires are connected at the new battery's positive and negative terminals.

Re: radian 8048

If you're using Simpliphi 48V 3.8 phi batteries, this calculator https://simpliphipower.com/support/system-based-phi-battery-calculator/ indicates 5 batteries is the right size for that inverter (5×75Ah/battery=375Ah), so you're in the ballpark. I think battery size may be somewhat dependent on your...

This excerpt from the fxr inverter manual seems to indicate that if your loads are all 120 volts then one of the 2 series "string" fxr's could be dedicated to your loads while the other would have no loads connected: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rqHLe52qRlkxdwKpPl_v10-8O9BatojU/view?usp=drivesdk...

Re: Optics RE readings not matching up with Meter Readings

Wish I had a meter that would log the useage I have the older discontinued version of this product: https://emporiaenergy.com/how-the-vue-energy-monitor-works/ The earlier version cost about $100 & came with 8 - 20A CTs plus 2 - 50A CTs. I don't know the price of the newer version but with all the ...

Re: Optics RE readings not matching up with Meter Readings

My understanding is that the "To Grid" data on Optics RE represents only the power that goes from the inverter that is sold back to the grid. It does not include power going to any other place, such as batteries, or the load to power appliances on the property.  These systems have no way of knowing...

Re: Westinghouse WGen9500DF Dual Fuel Portable Generator

No. The key fob start is for starting the generator from a distance, just as you use a key fob to lock and unlock your car from a distance. You could do this but you'd have to leave the generator connected to Skybox all the time and it would be manual start only, not via AGS. In order to use the Sky...

Re: In Ac Voltage too high

Is there a way to adjust the maximum ac input voltage from the grid in mate 3? It seems to be set at 250V as that is when my system disconnects from the grid and gives me an ac input voltage too high error. I live in Nicaragua and the voltage here can be quite volatile. I dont mind upping the volta...

Raysun mentioned float coordination in an earlier post. I think it might be worthwhile for you to try enabling it (if it's not already) to see if that keeps all your chargers working together. Here's an excerpt from the Mate3s programming manual re float coordination. https://drive.google.com/file/d...

Re-Bulk Voltage is at the Default: 48 VDC
Since your battery only got down to 49 volts your inverter never reached the rebulk setting. If you want it to charge from grid when battery gets down to 49 volts the rebulk must be at least 49 volts.

What is your inverter's rebulk voltage setting? If it is set too low your inverter won't start a bulk charge.

Your inverter will pass thru whatever AC waveform it sees to your loads, so any problems will more likely be with your appliances rather than with your Outback equipment. Note you should be able to program your inverter to reject both low and high, AC in voltage. Here's how mine is set up:https://dr...

I've had my 2 GVFX3524 inverters since 2007 and they have served me well in a grid-tie/battery backup system. As long as they hold up (getting long in the tooth by now), you should be happy with them.

Re: AC hot out function question for newbie

IEEE 1547 specifies OV1 as 132 VAC and OV2 as 144VAC, so you should be able to bump it up to 132V at least.
It's not settable. 130V appears to be the setpoint for IEEE, at least that's the point where it clears.

Re: AC hot out function question for newbie

Good point. The same thing (or worse) could happen if a grid-tied system is selling with the float voltage "adjusted" to the bulk setting after charge parameters have been met, and for some reason selling stops - like for a grid outage, or if grid voltage goes high and the inverter stops selling. Th...

Re: AC hot out function question for newbie

If your selling something, the first thing to check is your sell voltage. On OpticsRE go to the inverter -> AC input. Try a "sell voltage" that is ~1.5V below your float voltage. Not to butt in here, but might be better to set your sell voltage at your desired float setting, and raise the float set...
