Re: SOC suddenly jumps to 100%

I solved my jump to 100 . I unplugged FNDC charged up to my SG 100% than equalized and did one cycle of discharge / charge monitored it all. Hooked up my FNDC back up did some more test comparing SG to SOC indicators and all is good. Just got to keep testing SG thanks to everyone who posted all that...

Re: My FM 80 Will not power up

Hi Peter that doesn't sound good. Are you in area where snow may have buried your panels. I've seen this at my place actually this morning . If your batteries are that bad your controller won't fire up. I'm not an expert by any means I do hope things work out for you best of luck

Re: Solar output

Thanks that's good information. I peaked at 1290 watts . I guess if we could keep our panels cooler without using energy it would be a hit. Something like thermosyins (bad spelling)

Solar output

I noticed today around noon that my 1000 watts of panel have been producing 1150 watts at times. It's -15 here today and lots of clean white snow on the ground. Is this normal if conditions are perfect.?

Re: Batterys not fully charging?

Ok thanks Tim I'm going to watch things closely as I am here 24/7 and need something to keep busy with. I will post later my findings . Thanks again it's something I'm telling my provider about as he didn't know this method.

Re: Batterys not fully charging?

Or is it ok to just unplug the FNDC until my SG is good That's my favorite method, Then when you do plug it back in, Remember it is only as good as you have set it up and will drift over time no matter what, Use it as a battery monitor cross referenced to SG, Not the other way round, If you ever ge...

We are different in northern Canada because some places have 24 hour sun in summer and dark all winter you can bank your extra credits for winter.

Re: Batterys not fully charging?

Ok I was looking at battery monitor and its Mate 3 . So my question is does this work only for when your charging with generator setting SOC stop start to zero. Or can I do it using solar charge. Or is it ok to just unplug the FNDC until my SG is good than when I plug it in it sees this as the new 1...

Re: Generators

Thanks for your reply Joim. I live 24/7 at my cabin so my generator / system is not automatic. I keep my generators in my cabin where it's warm when I charge I take them out to a insulated park where they are sheltered from the elements. So changing my settings for max generator current isn't a prob...

Generators

I have a larger battery bank than I would like in the winter time. I know the invertor style generators idle down and save fuel but has anyone run their larger generator for bulk than when your down to 800 watts and you still need to finish entire cycle say 5-6 hours it would be nice to finish with ...
